IPv6 addresses contain colons which conflict with the IP:port format. Auto-detect IPv6 addresses and wrap them in brackets: [ipv6]:port This allows FreeControl to connect to devices via IPv6 addresses like [240e:438:b307:d43c:9cb9:db73:a3bb:375e]:5555
