Welcome to the documentation for the GMSIdrivers project.

This repository is dedicated to the development and preservation of drivers for the Guillemot Maxi Studio ISIS sound card, a professional-grade audio solution from the late 1990s.

The Maxi Studio ISIS is a hybrid architecture featuring:

ESS Maestro-2 (ES1978/ES1975MS): Acts as the PCI audio controller and handles legacy DOS compatibility.
Dream/Atmel SAM9707 (or SAM9407): A RISC-based Digital Signal Processor (DSP) dedicated to high-quality wavetable synthesis and professional effects.
