ui.Assistant is a round button in a corner of the page that opens a panel beside it, sized for a chat, which fills it. The reader can drag the button where they want it and the browser remembers where, per node; the panel follows, opening above, below or beside the button as the room allows, and on a phone it is a sheet. Escape closes it, and a press that turned into a drag opens nothing. ui.Floating is the plain container with the same drag, for a status chip or a button pinned in a corner. The manual's Chat page adds an assistant that answers from the manual's own search, and the Layout page pins a badge. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…d and minimized Opened, the button gives way to a window that grows from its corner, is dragged by its header and resized from any edge or corner, never leaves the browser window and shrinks to fit it, and minimizes back into the button at its near corner. The browser remembers where both are. ui.Floating takes resizable as well. A press on a control inside a draggable thing belongs to the control, and only the click of a drag's own gesture is swallowed. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…drags it The frame takes an edge press in the capture phase, before the header's drag can, and a drag or a resize whose pointer is lost ends where it stands instead of waiting for a release that never comes. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
What the reader typed survives a minimize, since the window stays in the tree hidden. What is remembered is where the reader put things; what is shown is that brought inside the screen of the moment, so a smaller browser window for a while changes nothing. An edge pulled past the margin stops there and the edges not held stay put. A press in the rounded corner's band resizes. A gesture whose element went away is forgotten, so Escape mid-drag leaves nothing following the pointer. Focus moves into the window only when it appears and back to the button when it goes. The window minimizes to the side the button came from. A plain floating thing has a small size floor and no grips when tiny. The round button is gone while the phone sheet is up. The browser's spellchecker marks every word of a change, at a cost that grows faster than the text: 32,000 characters took 2.7 seconds and 100,000 hung the tab. A text field now turns spellchecking off once it holds more than 5,000 characters and back on below that. A Textarea follows its rows unless autosize is on, and then stops at most of the viewport and scrolls inside, instead of growing with the paste. The notes example stops at a dozen and caps its fields, the counter's note and the search box cap their text. A public manual renders on every keystroke, and a visitor should not be able to make it render a thousand cards for everyone. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
