How to read journal from a user defined unit

It is not clear to me how to read journal entries for user defined units.  Adding the `journal.CURRENT_USER` flag does not work in this case.  I believe there may be a difference between journal entries for a user and journal entries for user defined units.

I am looking for the equivalent to this command:

```
journalctl --user-unit foobar.service
```
