Description
Describe the bug
The backspace button is occasionally not working properly and presents functional problems. It works from time to time, not all the time. Instead of actually deleting the characters, the backspace button is becoming a hidden and not visible character, having to actually perform the deletion manually with the delete button instead, including to delete the backspace character, which is very strange from the point of view of the programmer's user experience.
Affected version
0.0.388
Steps to reproduce the behavior
Just write something in the terminal and, after about 100 characters typed and separated by spaces (lorem ipsum can be used), try to delete all the characters with the backspace button. The problem may appear.
Expected behavior
Delete the character without creating a new hidden character with the backspace button.
Additional context
Linux Mint Operation System, Dell Inspire 14 computer.
