Excessive idle PostgreSQL ping traffic

What happened?

When TablePro is connected to my PlanetScale PostgreSQL instance and left idle, it appears to continuously send ⁠SELECT 1 ping queries at a very high rate (roughly 40 to 50 ping queries per second), even though I am not interacting with the app. Am I the only experiencing this?
I've reproduced the issue on a new instance without any traffic. I'm 100% confident that TablePro is triggering those queries.
