Seeking Guidance on Getting Started with OWASP Contributions

Hi OWASP community,

I'm a third-year Artificial Intelligence and Data Science engineering student, and I want to become a regular, long-term contributor to OWASP.

Before choosing a repository, I'd like to understand how new contributors can get started and find the right people to learn from.

Could you please guide me on:

• How should a new contributor get started with OWASP?
• Is there an official community channel, mailing list, or group where contributors can connect with experienced maintainers?
• Are there mentors or project leaders who can help newcomers understand which projects need contributors and how to contribute consistently?

My goal is to learn the codebase, make meaningful contributions, and grow with the community over time.
