Description

I'm unable to play any videos after logging in. I tried switching IP-address to see if it's an IP-block but that had no effect. I noticed that this issues was posted before but I didn't find solution in the existing issues.

Frequency

Always (100% of the time)

1. Open feed
2. Tap on any video
3. Press the play button

Important: if you logged in to YouTube before we disable the login, you must log out first (and log in again if needed), or you will not able to play any video.

I was not logged in before since I only downloaded the app recently and the whole login system was disabled.

install this apk, login , open a video and a livestream.
I'll check the collected data and see what happens.

That apk seems to work perfectly. I'm not sure whether you wanted me to provide logs here or you got them automatically? Either way, lives, videos and shorts all seem to work as intended.

😅I get them automatically but since the issue doesn't happen it becomes useless.
The issue must be some wrong configuration in the original app. Consider "clear webview cookies" in account settings. You can also compare the settings difference between 2 apps.

Clearing the webview cookies had no effect but nuking the whole app cache/storage from android settings did fix it. I have no idea what setting could've caused this tho.

The issue came back today. I didn't change settings since full reset so this is default settings while logged in. Exact same error. Videos nor lives are not playing.
