Feature request: Setting to open files in read/write mode

Feature description

An optional setting that allows this file manager to pass files to another program with write access. It could be a setting for the whole app or certain directories could be set to give write access.

Why do you want this feature?

It would be convenient to be able to browse my files, click on a text document and then be able to edit it without needing to re-open it in my text editor for write access.
